seat in 2022 as vulnerable. they would like to complete the socialization of america. also, i'm one of the few people pushing back on their inaccurate narrative that there were thousands of armed insurrectionists intent on overthrowing the government on january sixth. i've condemned what happened. what i was doing, i was comparing what happened on january 6th to the over 500 riots that occurred during the summer basically left wing that resulted in up to 25 lives lost, 700 law enforcement officers injured, 1 to $2 billion worth of property damage. they want us to forget those riots which continue to this day and they want to silence their critics and they do it by refleck i'vely playing the race card. there was nothing racial in my comments whatsoever. >> the media is complicit in this regard, driving the bus on all of this for the democrat agenda. i'll point out what took place

this week. the washington post had to admit that it misquoted president trump in a massive georgia election story that was used against him during the impeachment and then one by one media networks followed saying well we independently confirmed that president trump said find the fraud. we actually got the tape this past week and there was no such language that president trump used on that phone call with the georgia election official. i'll also point out that what we're seeing from a federal judge alleging that democrats are close to controlling all major news outlets. did you see the federal judge story that the democrat party is close to controlling all of the media, the d.c. circuit court judge outlined his opposition to the supreme court's key decision in a 1964 new york times versus sullivan piece. your reaction? >> well, i did see an article on that.

i haven't read the opinion myself. but i think we have known for a long time that the mainstream media, social media is part and parcel of the democrat party. everybody complains about russian interference in the 2016 election. now in the 2020 election, it pales in comparison to the interference, the censorship of the mainstream media. they did everything they can including suppressing information on hunter biden to make sure he won. their spear ferns in the -- interference in the election is something they won't own up to. half of america doesn't trust them because of their bias. i support a free press. it those be an unbiased press. we're at a dangerous moment in american history where we don't have an unbiased press. we have a biased one that has chosen sides. i appreciate judge silverman's opinions. >> now the democrats are continuing to weaponize race.

spring, early summer of 2019 and you have to understand the color coating in this. blue are family units and red are unaccompanied children. this is sparked in 2012 with deferred action on childhood arrivals and people in central america learned to exploit our lenient immigration laws so this is predictable what's happening. you can see that president trump by and large solved the problem of unaccompanied children and family units by his return to mexico policy, the agreements he entered into with mexico and central america and joe biden unraveled all of that and so you see the predictable crisis. we are up now to over 4,000 people per day being apprehended at the bore of deer. that's a caravan per day and the human toll that will take, the fact that human traffickers take advantage of the situation, drug traffickers do. this isn't anything that's a

surprise. we held hearings on this, how single males in 2014, only 1% were coming in with a child. by 2019, 50% were because they're exploiting the family unit loophole. and they were actually children being sold to people so they could come in as family units. the involuntary serveitude, some being put into stash houses, they're being beaten, used as blackmail and ransom in central america. this is inhumane. this what is the biden administration says we're doing this because we're going to be more humane. no you're sparking a human toll and inhumanity. >> we'll talk with steven miller about this. there's a gag order now on the border patrol agents now, not allowed to talk to the press. i've been speaking with my sources there and it's an unofficial gag order. real quick on the agenda and spending and taxes, our producer abby saw this at the equinox

gym, the equinox gym is going to be forced to pass on the tax increases to the people, the customers. they put this sign up saying that we're reaching out to share and update. new york state is mandating that equinox and other similar businesses in new york collect a 4 and-a-half percent sales tax on membership dues, including personal training, packages, et cetera. that's going to start on april 1, 2021. because new york state is raising taxes and we are expecting the biden administration to announce a major tax increase in the next month. what can you tell us about the next part of their agenda after the $1.9 trillion spending package? >> you're going to see a big difference between republicans and democrats. republicans by and large believe that it's your money. and that we have to tax to a certain extent to carry out functions of government. democrats believe it's all government's money and they're generous to allow you to keep

thank you for being here. >> good morning. maria: we have so much to get to this morning. you heard nancy pelosi. this morning, the department of hem land security secretary alejandro mayorkas is out doing the rounds. he was on fox news sunday this morning as well, saying pretty much that this is trump's fault, blaming it on the trump administration and actually saying that the border is closed. what can you tell us about what you heard from mayorkas this morning? >> i was stunned by the dishonesty of mayorkas' presentation. he looked into the camera and he lied, he blatantly lied. there's no polite way to put that. he inherited from the trump administration the most secure border we've had in this country, between our public health measures known as tile tell 42, the migrant protection protocols, known as remain in mexico, the immigration reforms, i could go on. you never had a better system for humanely returning illegal

immigrants back to their home country. we have a crisis, a spiraling massive, growing, surging crisis for one very simple reason. the biden administration terminated all of that to you adopt a policy of catch and release. and so when mayorkas says as a he did today that the border is closed, he is lying. first of all, if you arrive at the border, illegally, 17 or younger, traveling alone, you are resettled into the u.s. interior and you're taken to the city and destination of your choice. that is not a closed border. as for family units, and those numbers are growing steadily, than are overwhelming border agents, according to my best sources roughly 80% of family units that arrive at the border are likewise released into the u.s. interior. some border agents are driving them directly to nongovernmental

organizations in border towns, known as ngos. other times they're being sent to i.c.e. and then i.c.e. is releasing them under a program known as atd or alternative to detention which is a fancy way of saying you're going free. so we have an open border right now in this country and as far as nancy pelosi is saying this is value's based, what value, what humanitarian principle is served by rewarding and encouraging the you brutal monstrous trafficking of minors? what value or humane tearan principle is served by making it easier for criminal organizations to savagely assault innocent men, women and children for profit? because that is what is happening right now. maria: yeah. well, we're going to take a break and continue this conversation but as we go to break, i just want to remind people no one should be surprised. here's then candidate joe biden telling us what to expect.

do get into america via the texas border? >> yes. so it's an important point to say it's not only a crisis for our border states but for every state. because once people illegally enter the united states of america and they're released they go to every city, state and town that has obviously huge implications for public safety, tax base, financial and health security and the spread of covid as we're trying to stamp that out. one point i want to drill down on is the issue of how the administration is handling unaccompanied minors. they're typically between 14 and 17 years of age. of course, they could be younger than that. this administration including susan rice has said publicly that their policy is that they want to humanely deal with the minor crisis by which i suppose they mean by incentivizing the largest global trade in child trafficking and smuggling by

guaranteeing that the aim of traffickers and smugglers is accomplished which is absolutely immoral. here's another point that's not thought about on this. the administration's policy of reset link any 17-year-old or younger who is trafficked to our borders is a global policy of family separation. what they are saying to every family on planet earth is split off your own children and put them into the hands of coyotes and cartels if you want them to gain entry to this country. so instead of working through an actual humanitarian refugee process where you go in the country with the un and have a refugee screening process, instead of doing that, they are incentivizing long-term family separation. that is the policy of the biden administration. and that needs to be said. it needs to be said clearly. maria: well, there's also a

major drug issue, narcotics as well as covid. we had the secretary of homeland security, mayorkas, admitting yesterday that they're releasing migrants into border communities without covid testing and that was a mistake. but that's what we have been doing, releasing them without covid testing. another person on this program made a point last week during fox news primetime that we have a heroin problem in this country and a it starts at that border. >> real quick. number one, the humanitarian crisis the administration created throwed a drug crisis. i talked to border agents who said they've seen large increases in hard narcotics like meth, like fentanyl, like cocaine, coming across the border while border agents are having to spend their resources dealing with the humanitarian crisis because of the open border policy. secondly, i.c.e.'s interior

enforcement mission which involves removing dangerous criminals including drug dealers has been shut down. in a normal year i.c.e. removes from the interior 2,000 to 3,000 people a week or arrests 2,000 to 3,000 people a week and typically the vast majority of them are criminals. that number has been shrunk by as much as 90%. that means thousands of criminals, every single week, are being set free including people involved in the drug trade to reoffend in our communities. i ask you, is that humanitarian? is that value's based? is that just? no. it is morally monstrous and indefenseable, maria. maria: it's absolutely extraordinary. look, steven, i know you've been working with certain attorney's generals to try to help them communicate and push back on the radical agenda. tell me what's going on there.

this week i spoke with several ags from across the country who have problems with everything from the xl pipeline being canceled to the border crisis to the fine print in the spending package that says they can't cut taxes for five years because they're getting federal money. what are you doing with ags across the country and what should states be doing now because clearly the republicans cannot stop this radical agenda. >> thank you. yes. so myself along with other former administration staffers who have an interest in upholding the great achievements that president trump occurred but more fundamentally the laws of the united states, the constitution of the united states, i've been working with our state attorneys general to make sure that they are going to article 3 courts, the federal courts, the third branch of government to protect our constitution, to protect our sovereignty and our liberty. no administration has the right to repeal dually enacted law through executive action, no

already picking at them and damaging them over the years by not supporting them. maria: that is a great point. i want to ask you quickly on the border, then i have to get to california. fox news flernd a senior source -- flernd a senior source with customs and border protection that there's a plan under consideration right now for border patrol agents in the rio grande valley area to begin releasing illegal border crossers who claim asigh limb without -- asylum without issuing a notice to appear, meaning they'll depart custody and won't have a court date to come back. this is extraordinary. they come to the border and we release them, no court date and they get into the interior of our country. >> look, somehow the democrats have been able to convince the media that their policy is humane, that they're being nicer

or they're being more generous to people by letting people break the line and i have to push back on this very hard. americans are very generous. we allow a million people, 1 million people a year to become american citizens in this country. but the fact is, maria, there are tens of millions more who would like to become citizens. you have to have a line. you have to be able to say to people wait in line, wait your turn and we will make a decision. what the democrats are doing right you now is breaking the line. first and second generation americans supported donald trump and the republicans in they this last election like never before. these are people who waited in line. you want to be humane? you should tell the people who waited in line that you are not going to allow line jumpers or people to rush the border. republicans have to do a better job on making sure that we take the mantel to say we want immigrants in this country.
